Nigerian rapper Super Boy Cheque has shared insights into his enduring friendships with fellow artists in the entertainment industry. In a recent interview with Hip TV, Cheque revealed that his connections with Asake, Fireboy DML, Blaqbonez, and Yhemolee date back to their university days at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Cheque reminisced about meeting Yhemolee through an ex-girlfriend in 2012, which led to introductions to Fireboy and Blaqbonez. He initially pursued chemical engineering, but eventually succumbed to his passion for music, which became a “calling” he couldn’t resist.
The rapper fondly recalled sharing experiences with Asake, including dating roommates and frequently visiting their girlfriends together. Cheque emphasized the strength of their bond, stating, “I have been friends with Fireboy DML and Blaqbonez for 14 years.”
