Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has finally spoken out about a viral video that sparked concerns about his mental health. In an interview with content creator Lucky Udu, Anuku explained that the footage was taken on a movie set, where he was preparing for a role as a mentally unstable character.
Anuku clarified that he was immersing himself in the environment to perfect his performance, and the video was misconstrued as evidence of his own mental instability. He denied rumors of drug use and illness, stating, “I am not a madman, I am very sane.”
The actor expressed the significant impact the video had on his career and personal life, leading to lost friendships, job opportunities, and income. He credited God with guiding him through the difficult time.
