Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems has finally dropped her debut studio album, ‘Born in the Wild’, via RCA Records and Since ’93. The 18-track project features collaborations with Asake and J. Cole, as well as previously released singles “Love Me JeJe” and “Me & U”.
Tems’ album release comes three years after her last EP, ‘If Orange Was a Place’, which reached No. 7 on World Albums. The singer will embark on a 31-date world tour starting next week, kicking off in London and traveling through Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
‘Love Me JeJe’ has already reached No. 4 on U.S. Afrobeats Songs and No. 9 on Hot R&B Songs, while ‘Me & U’ has reached No. 3 on U.S. Afrobeats Songs and No. 27 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and won outstanding international song at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards.
Tems performed the title track and ‘Love Me JeJe’ on The Tonight Show in May, and will continue to share her music with the world on her upcoming tour.
