Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s absence from the recent burial of his colleague, Junior Pope, has sparked questions amongst fans. In an Instagram story posted on Tuesday, Edochie addressed his reasons for not attending the funeral, citing repeated betrayals by the late actor.
“I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial,” Edochie wrote. “I know many asked why I wasn’t there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since.”
He continued, expressing his past support for Junior Pope, stating, “I took him like a brother & good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back repeatedly. That’s life!”
Edochie further promised to reveal the details of the alleged betrayals soon. “I’ll drop the full details soon so others can learn from it,” he wrote. “Be careful what you wish people, it could come to you.”
Junior Pope passed away tragically on April 10, 2024, alongside three others, in a boat accident while returning from a film location.
