Wunmi, the wife of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known professionally as Mohbad, posted a cryptic message on social media following an inconclusive autopsy report.
Mohbad’s death in September 2023 sparked controversy, with questions surrounding the cause. An autopsy was conducted, but according to Senior Advocate of Nigeria Wahab Shittu, the results were inconclusive due to decomposition of the body.
Shittu, representing Mohbad’s family at a coroner’s inquest, revealed the pathologist suggested a reaction to medication as a possible cause, but could not confirm it. This lack of a definitive answer fueled speculation of a cover-up.
In response to the news, Wunmi posted “Ilerioluwa masun” on her Instagram page, translating to “Ilerioluwa do not sleep” in English.
The coroner’s inquest is adjourned until June 11th for further investigation.
