Barcelona have announced that they will rename their Ciutat Esportiva training ground after former coach Tito Vilanova as an honorary symbol of respect for his efforts as the manager of the club.
Tito Vilanova was Pep Guardiola’s assistant between 2008 and 2012 when the Catalans won La Liga three times and two Champions League titles. He also led Barcelona to the La Liga title in 2012-13, his only season as manager. After a long struggle with throat cancer, the Spaniard lost his life at the age of 45.
