Air Peace Passengers Stranded As Flight From Kano To Abuja Faces Multiple Delays

Passengers scheduled to fly from Kano to Abuja on Air Peace Airline (P47425) found themselves stranded as the airline experienced delays, which left travellers frustrated and dissatisfied.

Initially, the airline informed passengers through emails that the original flight time of 4.50 p.m. had been rescheduled to 8.55 p.m.

However, after check-in and a prolonged wait at the airport, passengers were informed at 9.15 p.m. that the aircraft would arrive at 10.20 p.m.

The situation worsened when the airline announced at 10.20 p.m. that the flight had been further delayed to 1 a.m.

Expressing their dissatisfaction, passengers confronted the airline staff, demanding explanations for the series of delays.

In response, some passengers were offered carbonated drinks and biscuits, but this didn’t pacify the travellers.

Mr. Wole Adeyeye, one of the passengers, voiced his frustration, telling the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the delay was due to a lack of responsibility and fairness to passengers.

Another passenger, Prof. A. Mohammed, raised concerns about the safety of travelling in the early hours due to the country’s security situation and demanded accommodation for affected passengers.

This is not the first time Air Peace has faced criticism for flight delays.

Mrs. Mercy Abu recalled a similar experience in December when her flight was delayed multiple times until 1 a.m., leading to her arrival in Lagos at 3 a.m.

Meanwhile, passengers bound for Lagos faced delays.

Citing technical faults, the airline explained the delay and proposed using a smaller jet.

Eventually, some volunteered to stay back, while the remaining 50 passengers boarded at about 11.54 p.m. for Lagos.

However, there were no explanations for the delay of the Abuja flight.
