This perfectly described the situation of a young man, simply identified as Ayodeji, who prayed against death on January 1 only to die 18 days later.
As many Nigerians thronged to worship centres for Cross Over on December 31/Janaury 1, others trooped to social media to pray and set agenda for the New Year.
The X user Ayodeji, whose X handle is @oaafobaje, was one of the latter group.
He wrote:
His friend @Damilee_ disclosed that Ayodeji died on Friday, January 19, and was buried on Saturday, Janaury 20.
“Yesterday, you died. 10 minutes ago, we laid you to rest. Ó yeh Ọlọ́run 💔,” @Damilee_ wrote on Saturday.
