In the wake of conflicting statements regarding the late singer Mohbad’s will, the artist’s management has come forward to clarify that no will was left behind by the departed artist. This revelation comes in response to claims made by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, who previously asserted that his son had drafted a will before his demise.
Addressing the matter through a statement posted on Mohbad’s official Instagram account on Monday, the management labeled the claim as “false and misleading,” aiming to provide clarity amidst the ongoing family discussions.
The statement outlined key points such as the management acknowledged ongoing investigations by the police authorities, noting that autopsy results from samples sent abroad are expected to be shared after a few months.
It also refuted the existence of any will or thumb-printed document attributed to Mohbad, emphasizing that neither the management nor the singer’s lawyer has communicated such information to the family or the public.
The management emphasized that had a will existed, it would have been duly registered with the Probate Registry. They urged everyone to refrain from spreading false and misleading statements.
The statement revealed that all accounts owned and controlled by Mohbad were placed on a Post No Debit order on September 12, 2023, and this order remains valid. The accounts will be handed over to the family upon the resolution of internal disputes.
