Internationally acclaimed Jamaican music sensation, Sean Paul, has intervened in the ongoing social media war between fellow artists Stefflon Don and Jada Kingdom, urging them to put an end to their feud over Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
The rift between Stefflon Don and Jada Kingdom erupted after the release of Stefflon’s new song, ‘Dat A Dat,’ where she hinted at an unnamed woman being involved with her partner, Burna Boy. Given Burna Boy’s alleged connection with Jada Kingdom, the situation quickly escalated into a public exchange of shade and subtweets.
The feud took an unexpected turn when Stefflon Don shared an “obituary” poster for Jada on her Instagram page, intensifying the social media altercation. Recognizing the potential damage to Jamaica’s reputation, Sean Paul, a respected figure in the music industry, took to his Instagram page to call for a truce.
In Jamaican patois, Sean Paul implored, “Lead the way morally 4 the fam. Men get heated. How can we calm down if yall doin dat 2? 2 beautiful black women. Live beta. Set a beta example pls. 4 the culture mah beg uno. 4 the kids. 4 the younger females. @stefflondon @jadakingdom done talk.”
While Stefflon Don downplayed the seriousness of the situation, Sean Paul persisted, emphasizing the need for a better example, especially for the younger generation. In a comment response, Stefflon Don stated, “It’s not that serious. Trust me. Just sum fun,” to which Sean Paul reiterated his stance, expressing concern for his daughter’s perception.
