In the midst of a publicized marital dispute between veteran actor Emeka Ike and his first wife Suzanne Emma, Emeka Ike’s son, Michael Ike, has come forward to express his strong dislike for his father.
The family drama unfolded after Emeka Ike accused Suzanne Emma of various offenses, including allegedly lying about assault, which he claimed led to the loss of his school and children. Suzanne countered by accusing Emeka of aggression, detailing a violent attack that nearly paralyzed her.
In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Michael Ike shared his sentiments, revealing the depth of his negative feelings toward his father. He expressed, “When I met my mum, the first thing I said was I really hate my father.”
Michael, clearly distressed by his father’s public statements about their private affairs, confronted Emeka about the disrespect left on the family. He disclosed, “I told him we need to talk. I added that I’m not happy about the way you’re talking about our private affairs. Can you just stop it? And I had to tell him the disrespect he left on the family. I decided that this is not the kind of person I should have respect for.”
The son condemned Emeka Ike’s attitude, recounting a hurtful message he received from his father. “The next morning I got a ten-minute video. It’s not the first time. He said, ‘you’re doing music, you will never prosper. Don Jazzy will never see you. If I see you on the side of the road, I will spit on you,” Michael revealed.
Emeka Ike’s marriage to Suzanne Emma had faced allegations of battery, ultimately leading to its dissolution by a Lagos Island Customary Court in 2015.
