In response to widespread criticism and online scrutiny, Spyro, a longstanding member of Harvesters Church, has addressed the recent controversy surrounding his participation in a drama ministration at the renowned church. The artist took to social media to clarify misconceptions and provide context to the incident that triggered a flurry of discussions.
Spyro, who has been a dedicated member of Harvesters for over seven years and actively serves in two church departments, expressed his surprise at the backlash he and Pastor Bolaji received. He emphasized that the video circulating on social media captured a segment of a drama he performed at Harvesters’ annual carol service titled “Fantasia.”
The artist highlighted that the carol service was open to all attendees free of charge, dispelling any notions of commercial motives behind the event. Spyro, in his defense, asserted that being a celebrity does not exempt him from actively participating in church activities, including drama presentations.
