Renowned Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has unveiled an ambitious five-year plan to retire from comedy when he reaches the age of 50. The 45-year-old comic sensation shared his intentions during a recent interview on Arise TV, outlining his vision to venture into diverse aspects of the entertainment industry and establish his own empire.
Basketmouth expressed his desire to conclude his illustrious comedy career with a series of yearly comedy shows over the next five years. He emphasized the importance of giving his best to comedy during this period while gradually transitioning to other areas within the entertainment landscape.
Having initially abandoned a music career in the 1990s to pursue comedy, Basketmouth revealed that he had always harbored the intention of returning to his musical roots. The veteran entertainer sees the upcoming five-year plan as an opportune moment to pivot towards building an empire and engaging with various facets of the entertainment sector.
“In five years, I will be 50 years old. I would have moved on to something else that would take up a lot of my time. I wish to put my all into it,” Basketmouth stated during the interview. He expressed confidence in successfully navigating the challenges of combining his interests in films, TV shows, concerts, and comedy.
