American disc jockey and music executive DJ Khaled has recently expressed his deep inspiration and appreciation for Afrobeats, referring to a “spiritual connection” he feels with the genre, much like his affinity for dancehall.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the renowned DJ and music producer shared his enthusiasm for Afrobeats and his plans to feature Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy on his upcoming 14th studio album titled ‘Til Next Time,’ set to be released in 2024.
DJ Khaled also expressed his desire to collaborate with Nigerian singer Tems, who has earned both Grammy and Oscar nominations for her exceptional vocal talent.
During the interview, DJ Khaled touched on a range of topics, including the occasional jests from his parents about running for the presidency. However, he made it clear that he has no interest in politics, preferring to focus on spreading love, working hard, and being a positive force in the world.
