Popular Nigerian singer Teniola Apata professionally known as Teni, in a latest post online, disclosed the fact that she was diagnosed with a life-threatening throat infection in July.
Teni revealed that she was diagnosed with the infection while recording her second album, titled Tears Of The Sun. This came a few months after she shared a weight-loss journey with her fans.
She disclosed that, following several episodes of temporary voice loss, medical professionals recommended a significant surgical procedure to prevent the potential of permanent voice loss.
Teni was, however, hospitalised in September after repeated cases of exhaustion, undergoing treatment, without doing the surgery. Teni, shared a clip of her journey in the hospital battling the infection.
Towards the end of the clip, the singer assured her fans that her new album, “Tears Of The Sun”, is heartfelt and would be out on the 17th of this month. She added that one of her singles “Malaika” is her song of gratitude to God.
