Nigeria’s Ambassador To Morocco, Mansur Nuhu Bamalli Is Dead

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco, Alhaji Mansur Nuhu Bamalli is dead.

The news of Mansur Nuhu Bamalli’s death was confirmed through a statement issued by the Media and Publicity officer of the Zazzau Emirate Council.

The statement revealed that Ambassador Mansur Nuhu Bamalli passed away at a private hospital in Lagos while in transit to Morocco for treatment.

The statement also noted that details regarding the funeral prayers would be announced at a later time.

The Herald gathered that Ambassador Mansur Nuhu Bamalli is survived by his wife and two children.

His appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco was made by the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, a year ago. Mansur Nuhu Bamalli’s appointment was a recognition of his decades of meritorious service to Nigeria in the field of foreign affairs.

Before he was appointed Ambassador, Mansur Nuhu Bamalli held the position of deputy director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It’s worth noting that the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a notice for the recall of Nigeria’s ambassadors, both career and non-career envoys across 300 foreign missions globally.

However, the diplomats are yet to return to Nigeria due to logistical issues, including the processing of Authority to Incur Expenditures (AIEs) for their travel back to Nigeria.

AIEs specify the entitlements of each envoy in terms of their passages and other travel arrangements required for their return to Nigeria.
