Chelsea Get Premier League Approval For New Sponsor Infinite Athlete

2 Min Read
Chelsea

Chelsea have received approval from the Premier League to have Infinite Athlete as their shirt sponsor, and could potentially make its debut in the upcoming game against Fulham.

The club had been without a shirt sponsor since the start of the current season, following the conclusion of their deal with Three (3).

Numerous attempts to secure a new sponsor had failed. According to reports from the Daily Telegraph, the Premier League has now granted Chelsea permission to display the Infinite Athlete logo on their shirts.

The sponsorship deal is estimated to be worth £40 million and will cover for both the men’s and women’s teams.

Although the deal wasn’t finalized in time for the Carabao Cup match against Brighton today (Wednesday), the club’s supporters might witness the debut of the Infinite Athlete logo on Chelsea’s shirts during their upcoming west London derby against Fulham, scheduled for Monday.

Infinite Athlete is an American technology company that provides player data to clubs and offers fans the opportunity to watch matches from multiple camera angles.

Notably, Infinite Management, the parent company of Infinite Athlete, was established in August this year and has investment ties to Chelsea’s owners, Clearlake Capital, and Todd Boehly.

The previous sponsorship agreement with Three, which lasted for three years, concluded at the end of the last season.

Recall that Chelsea have begun the season slow, taking only five points in their first six games. They have so far lost three Premier League matches, drew two, and won just one. The Blues are currently 14, in the English league table.
