Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently at a press conference spoke on his transfer day deadline signing Danny Welbeck.
The Frenchman waved off talks that suggested he initially wanted to acquire the starlet on loan before signing him for for £16 million.
Wenger described Welbeck as an “ideal signing.”
Arsene Wenger on signing Welbeck:” I was happy to take a permanent transfer with Danny Welbeck.”
“When you analyse Welbeck’s game, he has the qualities to play down the middle but he is very versatile.”
When asked if Welbeck will debut in Arsenal’s match against Manchester City this weekend he said,
“I cannot tell you if Welbeck will start [against City] but it’s a possibility. I have to assess the squad.”
