United States-based online publisher, Jackson Ude says President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list is “compensatory” and the “worst since 1999”.
Ude, a former Director of Communication and Strategy to the ex-President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, said this in a tweet on Friday, August 4.
The Publisher of Point Blank News alleged that some of the nominees on the 47-man first and second ministerial lists were known girlfriends of the president’s political allies.
He accused the president of sacrificing competence on the altar of political patronage.
Sharing photos of some of the women on the ministerial list, Ude tweeted, “WEEKEND SPECIAL: BOLA TINUBU’S MINISTERIAL LIST OF SIDE CHICKS AND GIRLFRIENDS
“Bola Tinubu’s compensatory Ministerial list is the worst since 1999. How do you run a country, fix her many challenges with cabinet populated by girlfriends of your political ally? Most of the nominees lack capacity, pedigrees, required to reposition the ailing country called Nigeria.
“Unlike the days of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Obi Ezekwesili, Dora Akunyili, it is now about who your Sugar Daddy is and who you sleep with.
“Almost all the female Ministerial nominees are sidechicks and girlfriends of top APC members.
“Tinubu sacrificed the competent few who helped him rig the elections for women who warm the beds of his friends. In a country that boasts of brilliant women, with rich resume and credentials, the female nominees are an embarrassment!
