Former Big Brother Naija Season 7 housemate, Doyin David, has recently shared her thoughts on the controversial topic of abortion. As a pro-choice advocate, she believes that women should have the right to decide whether or not to proceed with an abortion if they do not wish to continue their pregnancy.
During a recent episode of her popular podcast, Doyin’s Corner, she expressed her viewpoint that abortion should not be considered as murder when it occurs before the embryo has developed into a fetus. She emphasized that there are various circumstances in which women may find themselves, making it difficult or even impossible to carry a pregnancy to full term.
Doyin highlighted that some situations go beyond the mere difficulty of keeping a baby. Health complications, such as ectopic pregnancy, may necessitate the removal of the fetus. Additionally, she mentioned cases where women have been subjected to the trauma of rape, making the decision to terminate the pregnancy a deeply personal and complex one.
