Atiku mourns late Mbadinuju

1 Min Read

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has mourned former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju.

He was said to have died at the National Hospital in Abuja on Tuesday aged 78.

Mbadinuju, who was fondly called “Odera”, was the Anambra governor between 1999 and 2003 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement, Atiku said, “I am sad to hear of the passing away of Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju, who governed Anambra State from 1999 to 2003.

“Mbadinuju was a quiet politician of note who saw no need for unnecessary bickering and crisis-ridden politics in Anambra State when he lost the 2003 election.”
