Former Governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu has denied dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He blamed mischief makers for circulating the rumour and urged the public to disregard it.
Aliyu spoke through a statement issued by his Personal Assistant, Prince Innocent Kure, in Minna, the state capital.
The ex-governor said he remained a genuine, active, committed, and loyal member of the PDP in Niger State and at the national level..
The PDP stalwart in Niger, however, cautioned those peddling such false rumour to desist as he is very much committed to seeing to the success of his party in the forthcoming state governorship and state assembly elections.
Aliyu called on Niger residents to come out en masse to vote for all candidates of the PDP at all levels in the next elections in the state.
