An influential religious figure has implored her congregants to avoid all things Beyoncé-related, including her shows.
The Beyhives, the artist’s steadfast supporters, are responding angrily to the minister, Tiphani Montgomery’s sermon in which she disparages the artist.
In a video clip that is quickly gaining steam on social media, the preacher critiqued Beyoncé and her husband as well as those planned to attend her upcoming concert.
No Christian who is in COVENANT with God, should be supporting a witch. I’m just not knowing what’s so hard to grasp about that. Here’s the link to the FULL MESSAGE: https://t.co/A43VYR4QCl pic.twitter.com/GzhhzUWQpu

As she gives her sermon, she says:
Any of you who are going to Beyoncé’s concert, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.
“How dare you call yourself a Christian”, she says, while still appreciating the “evil” in Beyoncé’s songs.
The names Beyhive and Jay-Z are also given inexplicable reasoning by the minister:
Why you think that man calls himself Jay Hova? It‘s short for Jehova.
“Witches covens are made up of three to seven people”, Tiphani explains in response to the Beyhive’s fan name. “When it becomes thousands, it’s called a hive. Y’all are part of that lady Beyhive? And you call yourselves Christians?”
With emphasis on presenting her truth through her bios, captions, and follow-up posts on her Instagram media profile, the preacher appears to be more adamant in her convictions about Beyoncé, whom she refers to as “Baalyonce.”
