A Twitter user, @Ambrosia_Ijebu, says the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) has nothing to offer Nigerians if elected in the February 25 presidential polls.
In a series of tweets, the Twitter user claimed that the APC flagbearer’s core philosophy, which he called Jagabanditry, is to “accumulate wealth and power on a generational basis”.
According to the tweep, Nigeria cannot afford a Tinubu presidency.
He said unlike former presidents whose influence on the national polity waned shortly after leaving office, Tinubu would hold sway decades after leaving office.
He added that Tinubu has a knack for fixing his loyalists in strategic positions to carry out his wishes years after leaving office.
“So, if you empower him for four years it’s the same as surrendering all the economic power in your country for 24 years,” he said.
The Twitter user claimed that Tinubu’s penchant for clinging on to power even while out of office manifested in the manner the Lagos economy has been tied to his apron’s strings, nearly two decades after he left as governor of the state.
