World Cup final: Ronaldo junkie Piers Morgan predicts tears for Messi

1 Min Read

British journalist, Piers Morgan has tipped France to retain the World Cup.

In a tweet on Sunday morning, 57-year-old Morgan said that Didier Deschamps’ team will beat Lionel Scaloni-tutored  Argentina 3-1 to emerge victorious in the World Cup final on Sunday evening.

Captain of the Albiceleste, Lionel Messi, 35, is seeking to win the World Cup, the only major trophy to have eluded him in his illustrious career.

He faces an uphill task against the defending champions, who are seeking their third World Cup title, after victories in 1998 and 2018.

In his tweet, Morgan, who is a known admirer of Messi’s perceived career rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, predicted “tears” for the Argentina captain.

He wrote, “PREDICTION: France will beat Argentina 3-1 to win the World Cup. Mbappe will score twice, Griezmann will be MoM and Messi will cry.”
