Saudi club, Al Nassr have offered Cristiano Ronaldo a massive $225 million three-year contract to join the club.

Al Nassr had Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa on their books between 2018 and 2020.

Ronaldo, 37, is a free agent after his contract with Manchester United was terminated last week.

The five-time Ballon D’Or winner had not hidden his desire to play in the UEFA Champions League, after United dropped to the Europa League this season.

While the Saudi club cannot offer him European football, the nine-time Saudi Premier League champions can compensate with big bucks.

Ronaldo is currently on international duty with Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar.

CBS Sports quoted unnamed sources as saying that Al Nassr hoped that after the Mundial, Ronaldo would be keen to break new ground by considering signing with the club in a deal worth $75 million a year.

The club’s proposition has reportedly been made to the player’s representatives and talks have reached an advanced stage.

Ronaldo’s final decision is being awaited, CBS Sports reported, adding that a deal is expected to be quickly finalised should the player accept.
