The governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Azeez Olajide Adediran aka Jandor has explained his reasons for kicking off his 2023 campaign in Alimosho local government area of the state.
He said that because of its huge population, the LGA has determined who becomes governor of Lagos since its creation.
Jandor said despite their “encouraging” commitment, Alimosho people have been “neglected” by the successive governments of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The PDP candidate said it was for this reason that he was determined to change the narratives of development in the state.
“Alimosho remains a prominent area that has determined the formation of government in Lagos state since its creation due to it’s vast population.
“The commitment of the people of the area remains encouraging and their neglect is one of the reasons we are determined to change the narratives of development in our dear state.
“The appalling social economic and infrastructure neglect of Alimosho area which includes Agbado Oke-Odo, Ipaja-Ayobo, Egbe-Idimu, Ikotun-Igando, Isheri, Egbeda, Akowonjo, Shasha, Orisunbare, and the rest has to change and the time is NOW!
“My administration will make sure to drive effective and efficient turnaround maintenance of all existing public infrastructure.
“We will also make sure that in the first 12 months of our administration, we shall embark on an aggressive repair of existing state roads (including internal roads, bye passes, creating lay bys and link roads) while planning the building of iconic roads and bridges in the medium to long term.
“I enjoin you to join my running mate Funke Akindele and (me) as we meet opinion leaders, community representatives, youths, market leaders and people of Alimosho to discuss our programs and policies on the need for a Breath of Fresh Air in Lagos State,” Jandor.
