Predicting the top scorers in Europe’s Big Five leagues is a tough call, seeing that football is a tricky enterprise. However, this needs not to be unnecessarily difficult with the right punter.
England
The English Premier League (EPL) is often regarded as the best football league in the world. The reasons generally adduced for this are competitiveness, quality, audience, money, TV coverage, sponsorship, and physicality.
It is no surprise therefore that millions of football lovers across the world watch the EPL weekly. Oftentimes, football enthusiasts also want to make some money while enjoying their favourite league games but lose funds because of poor predictions and even more so relying on inexperienced punters. But this can change with the right platform.
In his debut season, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has taken the EPL by storm. As the third-highest goal scorer in the German Bundesliga in 2021/2022, the 22-year-old has netted an incredible 15 goals in his first nine games in England.
This Norwegian goal machine combines physicality, power, and amazing positioning to daze defenders week in week out.
However, his claim at the zenith is being challenged by Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Tottenham’s Harry Kane, who share eight goals apiece.

Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, Manchester City’s Phil Foden, Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic and Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus are also putting up decent showings.
Barring unexpected injury and an unlikely loss of form, Haaland could very well carry the day.
Germany
With the departure of Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland, the German Bundesliga’s top scorers chart has some new names.
Leading the pack is Werder Bremen’s Niclas Füllkrug, who has 8 goals in 9 games.
RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku, who scored 20 goals in the previous season, continued his impressive performance this season with 7 goals in 9 games in the current campaign.

FC Union Berlin’s Sheraldo Becker, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, and Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram make up the top five spots.
Fingers are crossed on will step into Lewandowski’s big shoes at the top.
Spain
Robert Lewandowski has taken his incredible goalscoring prowess from Germany to Spanish La Liga and is currently the league’s top scorer with 9 goals in 8 games with no sign of slowing down.
Coming a distant second is Real Betis’s Borja Iglesias and Espanyol’s Joselu, who share 6 goals apiece.
Veteran Celta Vigo captain, Iago Aspas shares 5 goals with the duo of Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr and Real Sociedad’s Brais Méndez.
With Real Madrid’s talismanic striker, Karim Benzema back from injury, the scorer’s chart could change very quickly.
Nonetheless, Lewandowski looks set to finish top scorer in his debut season.
Italy
Football enthusiasts find the Italian Serie A very attractive prospect with excellent predictions by the beautiful game’s leading punter.
As one of football’s most physically demanding leagues, Serie A’s strikers often experience difficulty getting past defenders, who have a history of being vicious and technically adept.
Despite this, Serie A has a history of producing top-class strikers over the years and the present crop of stars is currently jostling for the top scorers’ chart.
One of the usual suspects, Lazio’s Ciro Immobile currently shares the top spot with Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic, with 6 apiece.
Coming a close second with 5 each are Roma’s Paulo Dybala, Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, and Udinese’s Beto.
Although the league is still far from over, Immobile and Vlahovic’s precedents last season indicate either could take this one.
France
Lille’s Jonathan David currently leads the French Lique 1’s top scorers chart with 9 goals in 11 games, although he finished in the 6th spot in the previous season.
He is closely followed by Paris Saint Germain’s duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé and Lorient’s Terem Moffi, who have scored 8 goals apiece despite playing a game less.
Mbappé continued his impressive performance as the top scorer in the last four seasons (sharing the 2019/2020’s glory with AS Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder).
Lens’ Florian Sotoca and Reims’ Folarin Balogun have each scored 6 times, just ahead of seven-time Ballon D’Or winner, Lionel Messi, who has 5.
The French Lique 1’s top scorer race is still too close to predict but Mbappe looks set to continue his streak if he does not leave the Parisien club in January as predicted in some quarters.
