Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, released a statement declaring his solidarity with Iranian women as the Mahsa Amini protests continue.
His statement was as follows;
Canada strongly supports people who are expressing themselves and protesting peacefully in Iran. We are calling on the Iranian regime to end its repression of freedom of expression – and to end the ongoing harassment of, and discrimination against, women.
Unfortunately, his statement was not well received. It is perceived as hypocritical at best because of Canada’s recent history of clamping down on peaceful protesters.
Holy hypocrisy!
You invoked the Emergencies Act on bouncy castles.
Sit this one out Gumby.
You have no credibility
