A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, says a school reunion party is not an avenue to oppress old schoolmates.
He also advised against allowing oneself to be tensioned into depression by the exotic cars, latest phones and designer clothing of one’s schoolmates.
Reno Omokri said this in a Facebook post on Saturday.
According to him, most of those engaging in the display of opulence are living fake lives that their income cannot sustain.
“Don’t allow your old schoolmates tension you into depression by the powerful cars, and latest phones, and designers they wear to your reunion.
“Many of them are engaging in what is called ‘borrow pose’. Be yourself and let those who want to pose expose themselves!
“As long as you are neatly dressed, have a room over your head, and can feed yourself and your family, you are successful.
“Go there to bless your old schoolmates with your presence. Don’t go there to oppress your old friends with your excess!” he wrote.
