The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo was on Thursday arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Oluomo was arrested at the Muritala Muhammad Airport, Lagos State over allegations bordering on financial crimes.
The Herald learnt that operatives of the anti-graft agency picked up the lawmaker around 9 am following a tip-off.
It was further learnt that the Ogun speaker was interrogated by the operatives.
Oluomo’s arrest followed his alleged refusal to honour several invitations extended to him by the EFCC.
The commission is expected to issue a statement on the arrest shortly.
