Nigerians have continued to have their say on the chieftaincy title conferred on singer, Portable.

Recall that the Zazu Zeh crooner, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, bagged the chieftaincy title of Amuludun of Tigbo, Aworiland.

Portable took to Instagram to share photos and videos of the conferment ceremony on Instagram on Monday.

He also wrote, “Akoi AMULUDUN, Thank God for the blessings every day. Akoi Grace Omolalomi Badmus CEO Dr ZEH Nation Chief AMULUDUN Of TIGBO AWORI Land AMULUDUN Sebi Oba ZAzuu>. Na GOD dey run am., Thank GOD say man no be God”.

Since hitting the limelight in 2021, the 28-year-old has been trailed by controversy.

In one instance, he claimed to have founded a notorious cult group but later denied it after he was invited for questioning by the police.

Similarly, he was invited by the police in Ogun state for allegedly beating up a rival and video recording the incident.

Portable was also disqualified from The Headies Awards after threatening his co-nominees.

Many Nigerians who reacted to the conferment of the chieftaincy title expressed divergent opinions on Facebook.

Awoete Oluwabe Stephen wrote, “Perhaps with this chieftain title he will begin to be calming down small, small in all his doing.

“For those criticising him pray for your own grace and glory to be recognized beyond your immediate environment and beyond family circle. Remember Law of karma is real. Wish others what you will wish yourself.”

Yiro Abari High wrote, “What do you expect in a country where bandits have houses built for them with public funds, where bandits are turbaned?”

Amaechi Oruta wrote, “If a known bandit, a killer blood-suckling mallam could be crown, then what stops a mad man from enjoying the same gesture?”

Augustus Caesar wrote, “No wonder Nigeria is what it is! With money you can buy just anything even as a madman.”

Oluwafunsho Vicxiano Omo Imole wrote, “You are not helping this guy.”

Chukwujekwu Otali Onwuanyi wrote, “Nigeria and money, can you imagine.”

Ikong Christian Ikong wrote, “If Emir can give chieftaincy title to terrorist, I see nothing wrong with portable getting the title.”
