Gunmen on Monday attacked the home of Labour Party candidate in the July 16 governorship election in Osun State, Hon. Yusuf Lasun.
Media aide to the guber candidate, Wole Oladimeji confirmed the attack on the house located in the Ilobu area of the state.
“Just in: gun men in uniforms are presently in my residence shooting sporadically,” the guber candidate also tweeted.

In a follow-up tweet, Lasun wrote, “And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you to imprison you, or to kill you, or to expel you (from your home, Makkah); they were plotting and Allah too was plotting, and Allah is the best of plotters. Quran 8 verse 30.”
The attack occurred hours after the governorship debate in the state which held on Sunday.
