1 Min Read

Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan commiserated with the families of the bereaved in the Kaduna-Abuja train attack.

He also sent his condolences to the victims, and all those who were affected one way or the other by the violent activities of bandits and terrorists in the country.

In a series of tweets, Jonathan said: “I commiserate with the victims of Monday’s Abuja-Kaduna train attack, the families of the deceased, and other Nigerians who have been affected, in one way or the other, by recent events in our country, driven by the violent activities of bandits and terrorists.

He also prayed that all those abducted be rescued and reunited with their families, soon.

In the later parts of his address; Jonathan urged Nigerians to be vigilant, optimistic, and not to succumb to pessimism and fear.

He then called on the security and intelligence services to scale up their efforts in ensuring that perpetrators of these dastardly crimes are served with justice, and normalcy restored to our land.”
