The Supreme Court in Rome, Italy has affirmed a nine-year jail sentence passed on former Brazilian international, Robinho.
Robinho, 37, had been convicted by a junior court in 2017 alongside five other Brazilians of assaulting a 22-year-old Albanian woman in a nightclub.
An appeal was rejected in December 2020.
The former Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan star is unlikely to serve the sentence, as he is in Brazil, where the constitution forbids extradition of citizens.
However, Italy can request that he serves his sentence in the South American country.
