“Rare” video shows policemen helping citizen fix faulty car

1 Min Read

Footage showing two Nigerian policemen helping a random citizen fix his car on the road is currently making the rounds on social media.

The video was shared by popular police reforms advocate and comedian, Debo Adedayo aka Mr Macaroni.

The beneficiary of the kind act, who did not state his name, shot the video.

He explained that he was returning from an outing with his wife when the car developed issues.

According to him, the policemen assisted him to fix the issue without accepting any form of financial gratification.

He said that he felt that the only way to compensate them was to shoot a video to publicise their good deed, especially because of the negative perception many Nigerians have of the police.

The car owner expressed gratitude to the police and urged Nigerians to cultivate the habit of praising policemen that do the right.

Mr Macaroni, who shared the video, hailed the police officers.

He noted that while it was easy to condemn bad behaviour from the police, good behaviour must be celebrated.

“Rare footage of Nigerian Police showing love. Clapping hands signClapping hands sign.
