National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will be Nigeria’s president in 2023 if the chants of a crowd in Kano are anything to go by.
The former Lagos governor visited the ancient city of Kano on Sunday barely a week after declaring his 2023 presidential ambition.
Tinubu was received by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje at the Mallam Aminu Kano Airport.
He was welcomed by a crowd chanting: “Tinubu, you are our next President”.
He then proceeded to the home of late Sheik Ahmad Ibrahim Bomba around BUK old site, where he consoled with the family of the late cleric.
Tinubu was also at the home of late Alhaji Bashir Tofa at Gandun Albasa, where he described Tofa as a gentleman politician who accepted defeat to M.K.O. Abiola in the 1993 presidential election.
The 2023 presidential aspirant also visited the home of late National President of the Council of Sharia, Dr. Ibrahim Datti Ahmad, where he offered prayers for the repose of his soul.
