Everton are in talks with ex-Chelsea forward Samuel Eto’o about a move to Goodison Park.
The Toffees are looking to boost their squad this season, with a strong need for a reliable forward, and consider Eto a strong option. They hope to sign the Cameroonian striker before the end of transfer market.
Samuel’s contract expired at Stamford bridge at the end of last season where he made a total of 34 appearances and scored 12 goals.
Ever since July he has been linked to the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspurs and Ajax.
Liverpool offered the 33-year-old a one year contract, but with an additional year offer by the Blues (i.e. more time playing in the EPL) Everton is likely to trump Liverpool in this deal.
Roberto Martinez record-breaking signing of Romelu Lukaku had given his team the needed reinforcement in their lacking-forward, however, with strong competition in EPL he believes signing Eto will be a Big Boost.
