The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has disclosed that late televangelist, Prophet TB Joshua gave him money shortly after he emerged governor in 2017.
Akeredolu disclosed this at the burial ceremony of the late prophet at the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) in Ikotun-Egbe area of Lagos on Friday.
The governor, who did not disclose the amount given, said that the prophet told him that the money was to be used to entertain his guests.

He said he was amazed that the popular cleric drove from Lagos to his (Akeredolu’s) home in Ondo State to congratulate him on his victory.
“When I won election to be governor of Ondo State, T.B Joshua drove to Ondo State to wish me well and when he was leaving, he put money in my pocket and said, ‘as a governor, you’ll need money to entertain people.
“He also gave me money to give to my wife. I must testify openly to what T.B Joshua did for me,” Akeredolu said.
TB Joshua died aged 57 on June 5.
Since his demise, mourners, including the high and mighty, have thronged the church to pay their last respects.
