The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has warned members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and criminals to cease fomenting trouble in the state or prepare to get killed.
Wike stated this on Wednesday at the project site of the dualisation of the first phase of the Ahoada-Omoku road.
A video of the governor issuing threats suggesting an endorsement of extrajudicial killing is currently trending on social media.
“When people say IPOB are carrying juju, no problem. That is what you say but what is happening? Are they not dying?
“Let nobody deceive you (about) that juju; don’t ever you.
“All of you criminals (pointing while moving round) who are here, today, 2nd of June, 2021, repent.

“If you don’t repent, the period has come; you will die (and) your parents will not bury you. We will bury you like vultures – either your hand will be cut off or they will blow your head off.
“Your parents won’t even know that you’re dead. They’ll say their son went to look for money…” Wike said.

Here is Wike threatening extra judicial killings and boasting IPOB terrorists will be killed and eaten by vultures and their parents will never bury or see them again. The usual suspects will unlook because they fear Wike. This was just today o! pic.twitter.com/260qvLevz9

Wike’s comment came the same that Twitter deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet threatening violence against secessionists.
Twitter said it deleted the president’s tweet for violating its rules.
