A Twitter user has blocked President Muhammadu Buhari’s official handle.
The user, @Aunty_Les took the decision on Tuesday, sharing a screenshot of the blocked account.
When a follower asked her why, the distraught lady explained that it was to prevent the President’s tweets from finding their way into her timeline.

This came after the president’s handle shared a tweet purportedly from the president himself threatening to deal with youths fomenting trouble in some parts of the country “in the language they understand”.
“Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War.

“Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand,” the tweet read.
The President stated this Thursday after receiving a briefing from the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the attacks on the commission’s facilities.
A check by The Herald at 10:00 pm on June 1 showed that replies to President Buhari’s tweets are restricted.
