The Arewa community has thrown its weight behind the re-election bid of the incumbent Chairman, Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State, Alhaji Ganiyu Egunjobi.
The Seriki Hausa, Alhaji Musa Muhammad made the position of the Arewa community known on Sunday when the chairman visited his palace in Agege.

The Seriki Hausa, Alhaji Musa Muhammad made the position of the Arewa community known on Sunday when the chairman visited his palace in Agege.
The visit is ahead of the forthcoming local government primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Muhammad said that Egunjobi had proved himself as a worthy leader with tremendous achievements in terms of infrastructure and human capacity development.
He added that the Arewa community had benefitted from the achievements.
Earlier in his remarks, Egunjobi said that he always felt at home whenever he was with the Arewa community.
“I always feel at home with the Seriki whenever we are together because unity is one of the rules of development.
“We are all united here in Agege, both Arewa and other tribes, and that’s why we are witnessing series of development in our communities,’’ he said.
He expressed confidence in the support from the people of the Arewa community because of the long term mutual relationship that exists with all residents in the council area.
The chairman said his administration would continue to carry them along with the trend of development in Agege.
He assured that the Arewa community and other communities would continue to benefit from the developmental projects in the areas of education, health, environment, infrastructure and security if elected for the second term.
“I thanked the entire Arewa community members for their peaceful coexistence and I enjoined you to continue to live in peace and harmony with profitable relationship,’’ he added.
