The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 20 thugs that invaded the office of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Wednesday.
It was learnt that the arrested persons were among at least 100 thugs that invaded the office armed with dangerous weapons.
The NLC is leading a five-day warning strike to protest the mass sack of civil servants among other anti-labour practices by the Nasir El-Rufai-led state government.
Recall that thugs invaded the venue of a protest by the striking workers on Tuesday around the NEPA roundabout along Ahmadu Bello Way.
The thugs hurled stones and other dangerous weapons at the striking workers.
However, security operatives that were on hand helped to chase away the thugs.
