Another General Overseer loses 53-year-old son

Still reeling from the demise of Pastor Dare Adeboye, the second son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye of RCCG, the church in Nigeria has been greeted with the demise of the son of yet another General Overseer.

The Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) has announced that Pastor Emmanuel Folorunso Abina, the 53-year-old son of its General Overseer, Pastor Elijah Abina has passed on.

According to a release, Pastor Emmanuel died on April 28.

Until his demise, he was said to be the Director of Media of GOFAMINT and Pastor in charge of the Kingdom House Assembly of the church located in Festac Town, Lagos.

Pastor Emmanuel was in January appointed into the church’s Executive Council for a three-year term.

“With heavy heart but in total submission to the sovereignty of the Supreme God, we announce the passing onto glory of our brother, our pastor and a member of the Executive Council of The Gospel Faith Mission International (GO[1]FAMINT), Pastor Emmanuel Folorunso Abina, on Wednesday, 28th April, 2021.

“Gone too soon but we praise the Almighty God for the life Pastor Folorunso lived and the indelible impact he made in the church, particu[1]larly among the youth.

“May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort our General Over[1]seer, the immediate and ex[1]tended family as well as the church,” read the church’s statement signed by General Secretary, Pastor S.O. Omowumi.

Meanwhile, the funeral programme for Dare Adeboye is scheduled to kick-off today, May 9.
