Unknown gunmen have visited a reign of terror on different security checkpoints and police formations of Rivers State, killing at least seven security agents, burning vehicles, and setting their premises ablaze.
It was learnt that the first to be hit was a police station along the Rumuji axis of the East-West Road.
This was reportedly followed by an attack on Rumuji police station in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
The assailants were said to have set the station and some vehicles ablaze and killed two policemen on duty at the time.
Also attacked was a police checkpoint located at Ogbakiri junction in Emohua LGA.
Two policemen were said to have been killed and a vehicle burnt during the attack at Ogbakiri.
Similarly, the unknown gunmen hit the C-4-i security outfit located along the East-West Road, where three policemen are feared to have been killed.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Rivers State, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the attacks but promised to release a statement later.
