Wike receivies the 2019/2020 Rotary Good Governance Award from Vice President Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, Rotarian Obiageli Ejezie

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike says every Nigerian should be blamed for returning President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in 2019.

He said this on Friday while receiving the 2019/2020 Rotary Good Governance Award conferred on him by the Rotary club of Port Harcourt.

The governor said every well-meaning Nigerian was concerned about insecurity in Nigeria since there could be no governance without security.

“Addressing the Rotary delegation led by Rotarian Obiageli Ejezie, Vice President Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, I explained that the collapse of security in Nigeria today is of concern to everyone as there can’t be governance in the absense of security of lives and property.

“We failed to vote out this bad Federal Government in the past election but everyone has a role to play if our country is to move forward as the prevailing insecurity and collapse of governance in Nigeria affects us all.

“We also agreed to partner with Rotary club in setting up a vocational center for widows and youths in the state,” a terse statement published on the governor’s official Facebook page read.
