Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has been called out on social media after backing the presidential ambition of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, whom he once called a “useful idiot and accursed slave”.
This came to the fore on Sunday after the ex-minister’s apparent reaction to a comment by Kassim Muhammad, the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Leader in the North-Central geopolitical zone, who urged Governor Bello to shelve his presidential ambition to enable the region to clinch the party’s chairmanship ticket.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode said, “The idea that Gov. Yahaya Bello should not run for the Presidency & that the NC zone, which has never produced a democratically-elected President, ought to settle for another position is absurd.
“Nigeria needs strong & decisive leadership, a generational change & a bridge-builder.”

However, a Twitter user, Honourable Oke Umurhohwo shared a screenshot of a 2018 comment in which Fani-Kayode heaped insults on the same Yahaya Bello.

Many Twitter users reacted to the revelation.

Never seen so much double speak from one man in my life. One minute he is condemning COVID19 vaccines, the next he is stretching out his arms for the injection like an obedient school boy.

There is nothing wrong with his assessment because his boss Obasanjo, said, FFK, "He's my boy, provide him food, he'll praise and sing for you"
