Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says Nigeria will continue to wax stronger in spite of the prayers of those who pray for its break-up.

Osinbajo stated this Tuesday at the Palace of the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Shehu Abubakar.

He was in the North-East state on an official visit for the 27th edition of the Micro Small Medium Enterprise Clinic.

“This country will remain one. Those praying for Nigeria’s break up will not succeed because those praying against such are much in number,” the Vice President said.

Osinbajo appreciated the efforts of Governor of Gombe, Inuwa Yahaya for transforming the state in the areas of road construction, agriculture, and health.

Responding, the governor promised the state’s support to enable the Federal Government achieve its programmes.

“Gombe State is the centre for commercial activities in the North-East which is the reason why it has gained a cosmopolitan status and assured that the State will give the Federal Government all the necessary support to fulfill their programmes,” the governor stated.

Similarly, Emir Abubakar appreciated the Federal Government’s contributions towards the state’s development.

He said that the state was grateful to the President Muhammadu Buhari administration for the establishment of one of the largest livestock reserves in Wawa-Zange, Gombe State.

He thanked Vice President Osinbajo for coming to give impetus to the upliftment of SMEs in the state.
