Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh is Nigeria’s first ebola survivour (Photo)

It’s indeed very exciting news for Nigeria as she records the first recovery of an Ebola patient.Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, the
Nigerian Minister for Health made this news public on Saturday when he announced that Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, a Senior Consultant at the First Consultant Hospital who was the first recorded patient of Ebola deadly Virus in Nigeria was cleared and deemed fit to exit  the quarantine unit of the Emergency Operation Centre of Mainland Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, after she passed all medical test conducted on her.

 Dr. Stella got the disease after contact with Liberian- American, Patrick Sawyer. The proposed Ebola Vaccine ZMapp was requested by Nigeria from the US and after it’s use on the 8 alive patients, Professor Chukwu told journalist that more than half of them were responding well.

 He also announced that the Nano-Silver drug, which was to be used on infected victims, did not meet the requirements of the National Health Research ethics code.
