President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged to sack Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed for non-performance.
Members of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara South, under the aegis of APC Youth Stakeholders, made the request on Wednesday.
Chairman of the group, Tiamiyu Mumini spoke on behalf of the forum during a press conference.
Mumini said the minister has shown he lacked concern for the development of the state, hence his alleged selfish politicking towards the detriment of Kwara.
“This is a man who surrounds himself with aides who are non Kwarans. He stubbornly refused to pick Kwarans as aides, perhaps that is why he is far from the realities on ground.
“We want him removed because he cannot have his son in the Lagos House of Assembly while he ventures on mortgaging the future of Kwara State youths by causing chaos in the ruling party,” he said.

The youth leader added that Lai Mohammed was causing friction in Kwara APC by refusing to support the policies and programmes of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
He also condemned the minister for using his official Twitter page to lampoon the APC membership revalidation exercise in Kwara and call for its cancellation after participating in it.
“We are making moves for the suspension of Alhaji Lai Mohammed from APC for rubbishing the membership registration exercise in which more than 100,000 people have registered in each of the 193 wards in the state and if President Muhammadu Buhari refuses to remove him, we are taking steps to expel him from APC,” Mumini said.
